Protein-Packed Candy Cane Bark Recipe
Peppermint and chocolate top the list as some of our favorite Christmas musings. Instead of regretful empty calories in store-bought varieties, make your own wintery confection in less than 10 minutes, with muscle-building protein power to boot! Add more peppermint extract if you wish for your bark to have a bigger bite!

3 tbsp. coconut oil, melted
1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
2 tsp. coconut nectar (or liquid sweetener of your choice)
1 scoop chocolate Nuzest Clean Lean Protein
1 scoop cocoa powder (using Nuzest scoop)
Crushed candy canes (if desired)
1. Mix together cocoa powder and Nuzest Clean Lean Protein in a small bowl. Add 2 tablespoons coconut oil, peppermint extract and sweetener and stir to combine. The mixture will become thick. Add the final tablespoon of coconut oil to thin the mixture.
2. Spread the mixture on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet. If desired, sprinkle with crushed candy canes and gently press down. Freeze for 5 minutes, or until firm. Keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. Merry Christmas!
