Holiday Detox Pear Protein Smoothie Recipe
This Holiday Detox Pear Protein Smoothie by Kim’s Cravings is filled with fiber, antioxidants, and immune boosting nutrients for optimum health. The perfect recovery from loads of festive eats!
3/4 cup unsweetened dairy-free milk (I like vanilla cashew or vanilla almond milk)
1-2 cups fresh baby spinach
1/2 banana, previously peeled, sliced & frozen
1 small pear, cored
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice
1 cup ice
Vanilla Clean Lean Protein
Optional extras: ground flax seeds, chia seeds, nuts, nut butter (I use about 1¬Ω teaspoon almond butter), pomegranate seeds for topping
1. Add milk and spinach to the blender and blend on high for a few seconds.
2. Add all other ingredients and blend until smooth. If too thick, add a splash more milk. If too thin, add a few more ice cubes. For more sweetness, add an extra frozen banana, a packet of stevia or a seeded date.
3. Pour into a large glass, and top with pomegranate seeds and enjoy!
